The HEIC tools read files through browser file APIs and convert them locally. Files are not sent to a server for conversion.

Download links are generated with temporary browser object URLs. Clearing the list or leaving the page releases those local URLs.

Metadata may be removed during conversion for privacy and compatibility. Avoid using these tools as an archive-quality metadata preservation workflow.
